At the Heart of It All: Celebrating Auberle's Operations Team

Ops Feature

Auberle's Operations Team from left to right: Ryan, Rodney, Bill, and Leonette.

From keeping our facilities safe to creating a welcoming first impression, Auberle's operations and maintenance team powers our mission — and supports our people — every single day.

Staff across programs, from housing to Human Resources, shared their appreciation for the team’s reliability, responsiveness, and pride in their work. Whether it’s clearing snow, making critical repairs, supporting new hires, or greeting every visitor with warmth, the operations team’s behind-the-scenes contributions make Auberle’s life-changing work possible.

I want to take a moment to highlight and recognize the incredible work our maintenance team has done to support the Family Healing Center.

Their contributions often happen behind the scenes, but they are essential to the day-to-day operations and overall environment of our program. From keeping the facility clean and well-maintained, to completing major repairs like replacing pipes, to responding quickly to maintenance needs—they play a critical role in ensuring our space is safe, functional, and welcoming.

They have consistently gone above and beyond to support us, helping us problem-solve, adapt, and maintain a stable environment for the families we serve. Their reliability and responsiveness make a significant difference in our ability to operate effectively.

We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and the care they put into their work.
The Family Healing Center would not be able to operate at the level it does without them.

— Shania, Behavioral Health

A big thank you to the ops and maintenance team!

Bill and Ryan, you take pride in every one of our locations and it shows. I notice it every time I walk safely across the sidewalks in winter, and I know that's just one small piece of everything you do to take care of our buildings and the people in them. Our staff, our youth, and our families all benefit from the work you put in every day.

Leonette, every time I talk with you I walk away smiling. You bring that same warmth and welcome to every person who comes through our doors, whether it's staff, a visitor, or a family walking in for the first time. You set the tone for what Auberle feels like.

Rodney, I value your leadership in keeping this team and our facilities running the way they do. I'm grateful for you and every member of your team. Auberle is fortunate to have you. Thank you all for the work you do and the pride you take in doing it!

— Monica, Chief Administration Officer

The HR team would like to extend our sincere thanks for the outstanding work you do every day. A special thank-you to Ms. Leonette, who consistently welcomes our new hires with a warm smile and keeps us informed—whether it’s Amazon arrivals at the front desk or lunch deliveries. We truly appreciate the Operations team and are grateful for everything they do to support our organization.

— Gwendolyn, Human Resources

Thank you all for everything you do! Auberle truly wouldn’t run smoothly without the incredible efforts of the maintenance department and Leonette. From snow removal to building renovations to keeping the front desk running seamlessly, your hard work does not go unnoticed. You are truly a gem!
— Bri, Human Resources

Thank you to the maintenance team for your outstanding work during the winter months. From early mornings to unpredictable weather, your reliability and teamwork kept everything running smoothly and safely. Your hard work is truly appreciated—well done!
— Rebecca, Human Resources

I thank operations for all that they do to make the agency run smoothly. The front desk has been very helpful with mail as well. I appreciate all the factors that go into this department and I hope for further opportunities with them.
— Bex, Housing

Thank you for taking out our recycling (there is always lots) and salting the stairs each and (almost) every morning!
Tess, Housing

I want to thank Mr. Bill, Mr. Rodney, and Mr. Ryan for helping everyone from projects to emails. I understand maintenance a bit because I used to work there for two years, and I thank Mr. Bill and Mr. Rodney for showing me all the trades of maintenance.

Miss Leonette,
you are such a sweetheart when people come in for the very first time for an interview or a visit. I appreciate all the things that you do for the agency.

Mr. Rodney, I appreciate all the things you do to make this agency better in any shape or form. I love that you called me 'Mr. Johnny Bravo' because it made me feel like home in the Auberle community. I appreciate everything that you put up with every single day for us to be safe. Mr. Ryan, appreciate that everything you do, sir, because
it looks like you love maintenance with a passion.
—  Johnny, Housing

I appreciate all that you for us! Maintenance and Front Desk service is top notch.

Jerry, Housing

One of the most easily overlooked departments is maintenance and operations. This is the behind the scenes team that makes it so everything functions the way it should. There have been numerous occasions reception has gone above and beyond their role to assure participants connect to programs, the building is safe and secure, and each team has what they need to operate efficiently.

Twice this year maintenance has had to respond to weather related incidents on the programs. The made sure
staff and participants had safe access through the snow storm and after as snow remained built up in freezing temperatures. They also responded to a power outage at nearly all of our facilities when there was a countywide outage from a rain and wind storm.

Consistently, maintenance is the hero in our narrative, from getting the recycling, delivering items to other offices and partners, fixing and repairing things at a moments notice, building furniture, painting, and most importantly changing the batteries in our soap dispensers. Housing is eternally grateful to operations and maintenance.
