As a dynamic, faith-based nonprofit, Auberle and its subsidiary agency Ward Home builds strong individuals, families, and communities through more than 30 innovative and holistic programs that reach 20+ counties across Pennsylvania. Our staff is comprised of passionate individuals who are dedicated to finding innovative solutions to our community's most difficult problems.
Auberle is committed to supporting the professional growth and development of its employees through a variety of learning opportunities. Team members have access to the Auberle Leadership Development Academy (ALDA), which helps build leadership skills and prepares employees for career advancement within the organization. Auberle also encourages staff participation in professional conferences and workshops, providing support for opportunities to learn from industry experts, expand professional networks, and stay current on best practices. In addition, the organization offers tuition assistance and continuing education support, empowering employees to pursue degrees, certifications, and ongoing training that enhance their knowledge, skills, and long-term career success.
The success of Auberle’s staff and those it serves has been both locally and nationally recognized with many awards, named a Top Nonprofit Workplace in the nation by Energage and Top Workplace in the region for 11 years in a row by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Our other accolades include Agency of the Year in the U.S. by the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities and the Aramark Building Community Organizational Leadership Award in recognition of “great leadership, strategic governance, a focus on equity, a culture of partnership and innovation, and a commitment to values-based advocacy” (Aramark press release).
Auberle is also a recipient of the Wishart Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management, Smart Business Magazine Smart 50 Award for Impact, Innovation and Sustainability and was the first human service agency to receive the Innovation Award from the Pittsburgh Business Times.
