Auberle's workforce development department, the Employment Institute (EI), serves and trains job-seeking individuals 14 and older to place them in well-paying roles with benefits in hundreds of businesses across countless industries. The EI provides individuals with the tools and resources needed to not only obtain employment, but maintain a career that changes the trajectory of their life.

EI has quickly become our region’s go-to workforce development program, serving more than 600 individuals annually and twice named the #1 program in the country by the U.S. Department of Labor for its breakthroughs for those reentering the workforce after incarceration. Participants access direct pipelines to 300+ Employer Partners in addition to Auberle's broader resource network including housing, transportation, mental health support, and more.Employment Institute Participants earned $5.2 million in taxable wages in 2024-2025, a 4:1 return on investment in the region.
The EI operates on a straightforward premise: workforce development is one of the highest-return investments a community can make.

Auberle’s Healthcare Training Program in Harrisburg prepares individuals for in-demand careers in the medical field through hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, and direct connections to employers like UPMC. Participants gain the skills, experience, and support needed to launch sustainable careers in healthcare.

With personalized career support and wraparound services, the program helps individuals overcome barriers and build stable, long-term careers in the trades.
