Auberle’s 21st Annual Voices Carry Event Hits a High Note with ‘90s Theme and New Storytelling Collaboration
Pittsburgh’s Top Musicians Unite October 7 at the Westin to Empower Individuals, Families, and Communities

PITTSBURGH, PA – On Tuesday, October 7, Auberle’s 21st Annual Voices Carry returns to the Westin Pittsburgh for a powerful evening of music, art, and community impact. This year’s event brings together at least 17 of the region’s most iconic musicians for a live performance of ‘90s hits, all in support of Auberle’s mission to build strong individuals, families, and communities.

Hosted by Josh Verbanets, lead singer of Meeting of Important People, the lineup features Pittsburgh legends including Joe Wodarek, Liz Berlin, Megan Paullet, Everest Grey, Stevee Wellons, Bill Deasy, Joe Gruschecky, Mark Matteo, Jeff Jimerson, Jeff Schmutz, John Belan, Scott Blasey, DJ Bonics, and more! Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with performances and festivities from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Adding to this year’s excitement is a unique collaboration with award-winning documentary photographer Richard Sharum, whose internationally exhibited work shines a light on socioeconomic issues impacting our communities. Richard has generously donated a fine art print from his ongoing project American Avenue to be auctioned at the event. The photograph, captured at an Auberle Family Emergency Shelter in 2025, features a mother and her children settling into Auberle housing. This fine art photograph offers an intimate portrait of change and hope.

The featured family is proud to contribute to this awareness campaign and joins Sharum in using storytelling as a tool for social change.

“I hope that this photograph facilitates a deeper understanding of unhoused families with school-aged children in the region,” says Sharum. “Awareness leads to empathy, which is the first step in any change for social good.”

Richard will attend Voices Carry 2025 to discuss his advocacy and engage with attendees. The evening will also feature documentary-style short films about Auberle participants and their journey to success.

Additional event highlights include:
  • A silent auction featuring Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers tickets and a Pittsburgh Penguins private suite experience
  • A week-long vacation giveaway and baskets for raffle
  • A live auction for a private performance by The Clarks’ Scott Blasey

“I am delighted to perform at Voices Carry to support the essential Human Services work of Auberle,” says Blasey. “Their innovative, collaborative, and holistic programming creates a ripple effect of positive impact in our region.”

All proceeds benefit Auberle, a faith-based nonprofit in Pennsylvania that serves over 5,000 individuals each year through programs in the areas of housing, workforce development, foster care, behavioral health, and young adult services.

Join us for an incredible night of music, storytelling, and community that creates lasting change for local families and the region.
