This past year, Auberle has seen a great deal of growth. One example of
this was the opening of our new Family Emergency Shelter (FES) on the
McKeesport campus. The FES provides temporary housing to families who
are experiencing homelessness, assists them with finding permanent
housing, and connects them with other resources they need to gain
independence. Recently, the shelter gained the addition of a new
playground, donated by longtime serving board director and supporter
Mike Tranovich, along with his wife, Donna in honor of their late son,
Matthew.
“I have had the privilege of working on the board(s) of Auberle for more
than 15 years. We continue to be impressed by the work accomplished by
the dedicated management and super dedicated staff, especially in these
challenging times,” Dr. Tranovich expressed.
“The innovative programs with their amazing success rates make Auberle
truly deserving of all of its awards and commendations. I am proud to be a
small part of Auberle. The playground project seemed like a perfect way to
support the children of Auberle and to honor the memory of our son
Matthew,” he continued.

We’re extremely grateful for the generosity shown by the Tranovich family
as well as their dedication to Auberle’s mission and those we serve. The
addition of the playground will help provide another level of comfort for
the children and families who come to live in the FES.
It is because of the ongoing support from the members of the Auberle
community that we can truly excel in building strong individuals, families,
and communities.
