KIDS,
VOLUNTEERS, AND STAFF MAKE AUBERLE’S 21ST ANNUAL MAY
DAY MADNESS A FUN-FILLED DAY OF SUCCESS
Auberle’s 12th Annual May Day
Madness was held at Auberle’s Main Campus on Saturday,
May 19, 2007 from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm.
May Day Madness is day of fun and games
that help Auberle’s children learn important life lessons
such as citizenship, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This year
saw participation from 13 teams, 26 volunteer coaches, 26
participating children, and as many as 50 spectators who enjoyed
watching the games. Activities included such fun favorites
as the water relay, hula-hoop contest, and the story board
game.
Funds raised as a result of May Day
Madness will be used to send Auberle children to the national
H’Olympics in June. The H’Olympics is a national
event with Olympic-type individual and team athletic contests.
For the children of Auberle, it is often a once-in-a-lifetime
experience that leaves a lasting, positive impact on their
lives. In June the teams will head off to Missouri to participate
with as many as 15 agencies from around the country.
In addition to making the H’Olympic
experience a reality, funds will also help to support on-campus
activities for the children throughout the year, including
art, music, social and athletic programs.
