Vocational Programs

We develop vocational programming with input from area businesses that are in need of workers. We train youth for jobs that already exist and where available workers are in short supply. Our programs are designed with input from the businesses that intend to hire the young people. We establish connections with these businesses to help us identify their true needs. Our vocational opportunities are designed to end with a nationally recognized certification. Before we begin a program, we have commitments from businesses that obtaining the certification will move our youth to the front of the employment line.

Auberle offers (4) vocational programs:

  1. HAZWOPER: In conjunction with Weavertown Environmental Group, trains interested youth for environmental protection and remediation services. The HAZWOPER program ends with our youth acquiring an OSHA HAZWOPER Certification that can lead to real employment opportunities in the environmental services field.

  2. Computer Graphics and Design Program: Teaches children the critical computer and business skills they will need to succeed at the high school level and later in post-secondary education. Children in the program use the latest graphic design software to develop fliers, brochures, business cards, calendars and special promotional items.

  3. Culinary Arts Program: Graduates of Auberle’s Culinary Arts Program earn their ServSafe, a food safety and sanitation certification - making them sought after by food service employers. Youth learn food preparation, food safety and gain a working knowledge of the day-to-day operations in a food service department.

  4. OSHA 10: OSHA 10 (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is a 10-hour construction training course and certification designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors and anyone involved in the construction industry.
