Speakers Bureau
Each Speakers Bureau member is responsible for providing contacts to the Volunteer Coordinator who will schedule opportunities for volunteers who will speak at events about Auberle. The goal is to further recognition in the community and increase Auberle’s donor base. Volunteers are one of Auberle’s most valuable assets and we would like to harness their passion to reach out to community members that do not know about the work Auberle does with children and families. The belief is that volunteers would have a unique impact because they can speak about their own experiences as volunteers and donors.
Volunteers are asked to:
- Prepare a list of organizations and provide then to the Volunteer Coordinator
- Present at pre-arranged engagements about Auberle and the ways to give and volunteer
- Support volunteer recruitment efforts
- Follow up with the organizations to assess feedback
- Serve as an ambassador in the community for Auberle
We are looking for resourceful, articulate and dependable candidates with strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
Time Commitment:
- Initial application process: 2 hours
- Training: 3 hours
- We ask that each volunteer commit two hours per week to either scheduling speaking engagements or presenting at the speaking engagements. Each member is expected to commit six months.
