Auberle Culinary Students Tour Mitchell's Fish Market

On May 21, 8 culinary students from Auberle attended a field trip to Mitchell's Fish Market located in the Waterfront in Homestead.

Kevin Gilbert, Executive Sous Chef at Mitchell's Fish Market previously came to Auberle to speak to the students about culinary school, life in the food service industry, and different employment/careers in culinary. Kevin gave Auberle kids and staff a tour of the kitchen, discussed the various stations, and talked about day-to-day operations of Mitchell’s Fish Market.

After the tour, all were seated in a private dining area, and everyone got to enjoy a variety of food from the lunch menu, including kids shrimp appetizers. All of the kids and staff had a great time. None of the students had been there before, making the day a real treat for them.
