Mock Interviews
Each Mock Interview Volunteer will be responsible for conducting 30 minute mock interviews to prepare the work age young people at Auberle for the workforce. Volunteers will create questions for the interviews and also provide one on one feedback to the youth.
Volunteers are asked to:
- Prepare a list of questions for each interview
- Give feedback/constructive criticism to the youth who are interviewed
- Provide general job readiness and career guidance
- Serve as a positive role model
We are looking for professionals in their field who have some experience with hiring and working with youth. Candidates should be articulate, flexible, and patient.
Time Commitment
- Initial application process: 2 hours
- Training: 3 hours
- We ask that each Mock Interview volunteer commit to two hours of mock interviewing per month. Volunteers should also provide written feedback to the program staff on each interview within one week of the interview session. Staff can work on deficiencies with the youth to prepare them for their next mock or actual interview.
