Events
Each year Auberle hosts a series of events to raise awareness and in celebration of our children and families. Events are a great way to get involved with Auberle: attend, volunteer, donate or sponsor!
New Volunteer Orientation: An informal information sharing session for new individuals interested in learning more or becoming a volunteer.
Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community: On May 19th, The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community will bring together numerous local nonprofit organizations that deliver vital health and human services programs in our community. This year Auberle was lucky to have been chosen to participate and we need you!
Voices Carry for Auberle
Huntington Bank presented the 7th Annual Voices Carry for Auberle on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Heinz Field- East Hall. Voices Carry for Auberle is an upscale music event featuring local Pittsburgh celebrities and musicians who come together to support the needs of the 2,100 at-risk children and families Auberle serves each year. Last year's event welcomed more than 500 attendees including local politicians, television personalities, musicians and athletes. This year's event, hosted by WDVE's Randy Baumann, includes a guest list of Donnie Iris, Sputzy, Rick Witkowski, Joe Grushecky, Chris Higbee, Vanessa Campagna, Scott Blasey, Jeff Jimerson and more.
Special Santa
We started the Special Santa Program to provide Auberle children with gifts so they could experience the joy of Christmas. Special Santa volunteers purchase gifts from a wish list each Auberle child makes. Residential Care children receive their gifts at the annual Christmas party. Children in other Auberle programs, such as the shelter, foster care or in-home services program, have their gifts delivered to their homes by Auberle staff.
All Star Banquet
The All Star Recognition Banquet is an annual event bringing the entire Auberle organization together for an evening of celebration and awards for the children. Guests are welcome. This year's event is April 17, 2012.
Festival of Fun
Festival of Fun provides children the chance to develop and foster self-esteem, acceptance, and appreciation of diversity and teamwork. Festival of Fun benefits children ages 7 to 13 that have been removed from their homes because of neglect or other unsafe conditions. Auberle staff and children proudly host Festival of Fun at our facilities in McKeesport and we welcome the participation of children from similar organizations from southwestern Pennsylvania.
