The Employment Institute at Auberle
Over 50% of at-risk youth in America are unemployed by age 21. More than 1 million youth between the ages of 16-19 are not engaged in education, vocational programs or training. Even more troubling, only 40% of at-risk youth receive their high school diploma and only 10% enroll in college.
Building on 60 years of experience, The Employment Institute at Auberle strives to change these statistics by helping at-risk youth achieve their potential in life. The Institute achieves this in several unique ways:
At The Employment Institute we...
- Historically graduate 100% of our eligible high school seniors
- 20% of our youth are on the honor roll each grading period
- Support youth in college
- Provide on-campus work opportunities in a way specifically designed to teach soft skills and help youth develop a strong work ethic
- Have 646 volunteers who provide job shadowing and internship opportunities to our youth
When young people leave The Employment Institute at Auberle, they understand and embrace the "real world" of work and have an employment opportunity that will enable them to be productive members of the community.
