Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services
Clients who are in need of substance abuse counseling present with a
multitude of complicated treatment needs. In 2004 Auberle was pleased
to receive an Outpatient (OP) D&A license. Currently treatment options
include diagnostic assessment; individual, family and group psychotherapy;
pharmacological management; urinalysis; AA/NA 12-step self-help meetings;
Co-Dependency and COA Children of Addicts Groups. D&A Group consists
of the exploration of the mechanics of addiction, techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Therapy (RET), and Rational Emotive
Behavioral Therapy (REBT) to identify and challenge thinking patterns
that lead to substance abuse and/or the criminal behavior typically
associated with substance use/abuse.

Individual
Treatment
Services
are available to any client with a drug or alcohol diagnosis. Each client’s
degree of substance use is assessed through a series of assessment instruments
and a thorough review of case history to determine the appropriate level
of care and if necessary, referrals to more intensive levels of care
are provided. Clients (adolescents and adults) attend and participate
in individual psychotherapy at least 2 times per month depending on
the severity/therapeutic needs of the client.

Life Skills to prepare clients to deal with challenging issues

Stress Disorder to ultimately return the client to the normal level
of development and to enable them to place the traumatic event into
perspective and no longer experience negative side effects.

Adjustment with Sobriety to assist addicts in recovery to adjust with
multiple changes to a healthier, sober life-style.
- Depression
to assist clients to effectively manage their feeling of depression
and coping with withdrawal, facing the realities of sobriety that
have been neglected.

Residents
at Auberle are offered Closed AA self-help support groups weekly. While
adult and community based clients receive information where they can
attend AA Meetings in their local area.

Anonymous®
Residents
at Auberle are offered Closed NA self-help support groups weekly. While
adult and community based clients receive information where they can
attend NA Meetings in their local area.

COAP
Some
adolescents attend and participate in the COAP (Children of Addicted
Parents) group providing their parents suffered with an addiction. The
purpose of the group is to gain a deeper understanding of addiction,
process thoughts & feelings about growing up with an addicted parents,
explore the challenges of dealing with co-dependency and to explore
coping skills.
