The generosity of donors ensures Auberle is able to provide essential care to at-risk children and families. Government sources provide some, but not all, of the funding needed to operate the services our children and families need to thrive and succeed. Our donors make a tremendous impact in the lives of children.

There are a variety of ways to make a gift to Auberle:

  • Cash Gifts: As a donation or in memory/honor of a loved one or friend. Cash gifts support the annual cost of providing comprehensive care to over 2,000 children and families each year.

  • Good Kids Legacy Society: With a little planning, supporters of the children and families of Auberle can continue to make a difference beyond their own lifetime through the following charitable gifts: specific dollar amount in a will, charitable gift of stocks and bonds, pension, IRA or life insurance beneficiary or charitable gift annuity. Learn more about the history of the Good Kids Legacy Society.

  • Appreciated Securities: Stock gifts may provide a possible benefit for you. If you sell securities, you owe capital gains tax on the appreciation. If you wish to donate them, you pay no capital gain tax and qualify for an income tax charitable deduction for the mean market value on the date of the gift. Please note that there are limitations depending on your income.

  • Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC): Auberle is proud to be an approved Educational Improvement Organization through the state of Pennsylvania. EITC tax credits are available to approved businesses who make a donation to an Educational Improvement Organization. Visit www.newpa.com/eitc to find out how your business can become approved for this tax credit and make a donation to Auberle through EITC.

  • Estate Gift: You may name Auberle as a beneficiary of your will, living trust or retirement plan. Your gift through your estate plan could be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the total value or the remainder of your estate after all other gifts have been made.

  • Charitable Gift Annuity: Is a very simple life income gift. In exchange for your irrevocable gift of cash or securities, the Diocese of Pittsburgh, on Auberle’s behalf, agrees to pay you (or perhaps you & your spouse) a fixed sum each year for life. The payment rate is determined by the age(s) of income recipients(s). The remainder value is given to Auberle after your death.

  • Charitable Trust: With the help of your attorney, a charitable trust can be created that gives you an income tax charitable deduction in the year you create it. Until your death, or the death of you and your spouse, the income is paid to you at a frequency you desire and calculated in one of two ways approved by the IRS. The remainder value is given to Auberle after your death.

  • Life Insurance: Makes an excellent gift if you have a policy that is no longer needed for its intended purpose or for your family’s security. With the help of your insurance agent, you can make Auberle the owner and beneficiary and receive tax benefit for doing so. New policies may also be created to provide such a benefit and on-going premium payments can be used for income tax charitable deductions. Finally, you can also simply designate Auberle as the beneficiary of your policy, or a portion thereof, and retain ownership rights forgoing tax benefit.

  • Recycle for Auberle: Recycling is an environmentally friendly way to donate to charity and you and your business can sign up for a free program that helps the environment while helping Auberle's children at the same time.

  • Property Gift: Make a gift of specific property now or through your estate but retain rights to it during your lifetime.

  • Businesses Make a Gift for Clients: A unique way to say thank you to your clients is through a gift to charity in their honor. Your company or you personally make a gift to Auberle of at least $1,000 between now and year end. We work with you to communicate to your clients that a gift has been made on their behalf.
