Position
Description
The Marketing Communications Manager provides consulting in the areas
of message, brand development, services marketing to referral sources,
special events programming and website presence. Auberle is looking
for a highly motivated individual to help set goals and lead the efforts
to assure that they are accomplished. The position reports to the Director
of Development and the Director of Intake Services.
Core Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Manager is primarily responsible for
the following:
- Brand
Development and Constituent Marketing: The successful candidate
will help Auberle use its status as a winner of the Wishart Award
for Excellence in Nonprofit Management and its success with benchmarking
and measurement of outcomes to develop a brand and image. By creating
and executing marketing plans, the candidate will make Auberle better
known in Southwestern Pennsylvania and make the organization synonymous
with helping troubled children and families heal themselves.
- Services
Marketing to Referral Sources: The successful candidate will
work with the service corporation leaders to develop marketing plans
for Auberle services. By assisting the Intake Department with key
information, the candidate will support business development.
- Special
Events: In concert with Board Directors, volunteers and other
development staff, the successful candidate will manage part-time
staff to execute special events designed to introduce Auberle to different
segments of the population and to raise money at the same time.

Website Maintenance:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall web presence
of Auberle and work closely with the webmaster to ensure the website
reinforces the brand image.
Knowledge,
Skills and Experiences
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a relevant field.
- Five years
of experience in an agency, corporation or in nonprofit development
with at least five years of specific marketing communications experience.
- PC skills
to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database use.
