Assist teacher in continued assessment and individualized
instruction.

Participate
in the multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Provide
daily individual group counseling, behavioral intervention,
problem solving and contracting to ensure the safety of
the classroom
-
Provide
crisis intervention.
-
Assist
in the collection, maintenance and transfer of student
records.
-
Responsible
for students’ daily routines.
-
Perform
Behavioral Specialist duties throughout the school year,
but during the summer session support the residential
counseling staff when school is not in session.
-
Initiate
daily security checks on students upon entry of school
and during the school day as deemed appropriate.
-
Work
with the teacher in establishing strong communications
between parents/guardian, school district, and if appropriate,
Case workers or Probation Officers.

Demonstrate
effective leadership, organizational, and time management
skills.

High
School Diploma or GED, but Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
-
At
least one-year experience within education or human services field.
-
Ownership
of a reliable vehicle, a valid PA driver’s license and proof
of insurance are required.
