Auberle Kids Show "Vested" Interest in Their Community

Auberle Kids showed their "vested Interest" in giving back to the community when they donated a protective vest to Officer Sam Bostic, Jr. of the McKeesport police department in a ceremony held on October 17, 2006 at the Auberle Main Campus in McKeesport.

The vest was donated by the children of Auberle in honor of Officer Bostic recently joining the McKeesport Police Department. Officer Bostic’s father, Sam Bostic, Sr. is a Behavior Specialist at the Auberle Education Center located in Homestead.

Auberle children chose to donate the vest to Officer Bostic as a way to show support for a member of their community. “The children of Auberle are very excited to be able to show support for the community that has shown so much support for them,” says John Lydon, Auberle CEO. “Auberle is always pleased to be able to give back to the communities that it serves, and with Officer Bostic’s special connection to Auberle, it makes the police vest donation that much more special to us as well.”

Officer Bostic will wear the vest every day during the course of normal duty. It is constructed of double-thickness Kevlar -- a lightweight, durable material used in police vests and other protective clothing.
