Festival of Fun

Friends, food, and fun were the ingredients for a successful "20th Annual Festival of Fun" that was held at Auberle July 13th from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Festival hosted area agencies, with children attending ages 8 through 12. Agencies that participated included: Gwen's Girls, Family Services of Western Pa., Holy Family, Turtle Creek Valley MH/MR, Bradley Center, Wesley/Spectrum, Auberle Junior Program, Auberle IIU and Romine Street Group Home, Auberle Foster Care and Auberle In Home Services. The children attending were thrilled with the program, which included something new this year -- a trip to a nearby fire station thanks to Mr. Rodney. A magician, Chris Hanna, put on a show and gave private magic lessons. Inflatables were on display in the gym, and there were traditional games and races held both inside and outside. The festival continued with lunch, games, sno-cones and many other treats in the Program Center. The children received T-shirts as well as prizes. We are happy to boast that Auberle won the trophy for this year's Festival of Fun.
