Auberle
children participated in the Sixth Annual Mon Valley
HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk, which was a huge success,
on Saturday, October 7th, 2006. A total of 315 Walkers
came out in a “sea of Black and Gold”
to walk the route that wound its way through many
of the McKeesport neighborhoods, all in an effort
to work towards the goal of heightening awareness
of the disease of HIV/AIDS.

The
walk was sponsored this year by Mon Yough Community
Services, the Human Services Center Corporation and
the McKeesport Healthier Communities PartnerSHIP Substance
Abuse Logic Model, and the McKeesport Collaborative
HIV/AIDS Working Group - all helped to make the 2006
walk a great success. Mark your calendars for Saturday,
October 6, 2007 and plan on joining Auberle for the
Seventh Annual Walk for Awareness.
